As thread and fiber bears become a very wanted collectable during the last 10 years it would be great to have one permanent name to use to find our bears. As these bears are known as thread bears** by artist and collector from the start, it brought many thread artist trouble in 2005. Trademark owners finally began to police their mark in 2005 and removed some uses of these descriptive phrase.<br />Thread Artists were no longer allowed to call their bears "thread bear(s)**", if they did they got in trouble. reported to eBay, yahoo groups, yes..even websites were suspended by the trademark owner.</span></div> <div><span style="font-size:100%;"> </span></div> <div><span style="font-size:100%;">To not be able to call our bears by the name that they are, (the most ridiculous names were used) to still be able to have our bears found in online searches.</span></div> <div><span style="font-size:100%;"> </span></div> <div><span style="font-size:100%;">We came up with an all-inclusive description for our bears;<br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">"TAB - Thread Artist Bears" </span>.<br />These include all bears and friends and animals made out of fiber/thread as crochet, (needle) felting, knitting and other, made by the artist.
